Susan Budig, Nov 11, 2009, 8:36PM ESTMmmm. Kerry :-) I understand that Armistice Day marks the end of the war on the European front. But let me check my link. Er, later. ;-) I'm supposed to be cleaning the fish tank.

Kerry Dexter , Nov 11, 2009, 3:41PM ESTsusan,
I notice in your article today you say that Veteran's Day was meant to mark the end of WWII. perhaps you meant to write WWI, instead? -
John Smethers, Oct 30, 2009, 9:14PM EDTHi Susan,
Thanks for the ping. You're right, I'm here to help, so if you know anyone who wants info on addiction/recovery, send them to me.
I wish you happiness, John -
Kerry Dexter , Oct 29, 2009, 6:13AM EDTSusan,
finally ahd the chance to check in on Lisa Hannigan. interesting. I'm one of the few who's not a big fan of her former collaborator Damien Rice, actually -- recog ize that he's good, his work just doesn't resonate w/ me. be interesting to see where Lisa goes next, thanks for the heads up.
also interested to see the presenter for that show. we've never met but have been in contact over the years through her work as publicist for Red House Records. -
C.F. Stewart, Oct 27, 2009, 2:03PM EDTYes, as a matter-of-fact, I do! Bluegrass even more so.

Spicecomments.com - Hi Hey Hello Comments
Hi Susan! Just quickly to say hello to you, my dear friend.I hope you're doing fine.Keep writing poetry.lol...Have a very lovely Sunday afternoon.Warmly.D. -
Barb (Gather Site Ferret) Carlson, Oct 24, 2009, 9:40PM EDTI can see where that might be uncomfortable for you, but most people aren't any more serious about that than those who say "I'll kill you if you drop that!" Unless it's chronic or particularly mean-spirited, you probably would be safe laughing it off.
But really, if you want to say something on my post, feel free. I value all points of view.

Barb (Gather Site Ferret) Carlson, Oct 24, 2009, 8:25PM EDTI was wondering what happened to your comment. I got notification you'd made one, but there was nothing there. I took the "unkind" suggestions as jokes :) My husband is a curmudgeon. Grumpy, snarly, lecturing ... unless he isn't. I've spent most of my life being a doormat and I'm learning how to stand up for myself. I've tried to talk to him about things like this, but he views it like I'm beating him with a bat. "More work for him to do" even when I'm volunteering to help ("yeah right," he says). He does change his mind about things, but it always takes 24 hours of thought on his part. I get tired and frustrated (about a lot of things) and need to vent. Sometimes silly comments (like "hit him in the head with a shovel and I'll help you bury him") aren't so unkind as meant for comic relief.
